Parole for a former Mountain Home resident sentenced to 18 years in prison in late January 2016 on 1st degree sexual assault charges has been denied again.Parole hearings in the case of 43-year-old Zachery Adam Smith have been held five times since he entered prison in mid-February 2016.

The latest hearing on Smith’s case by the Post-Prison Transfer Board was held January 20.

The probable cause affidavit containing information that led to the issuance of an arrest warrant in the Baxter County case was sealed by the court in 2015. The information was kept from the public to protect the anonymity of the victim.

The information that was available on the allegations against Smith claimed he had inappropriate sexual contact with a minor female.

At the time the charges were filed, Smith was living in Mountain Home. He later reported an address in Ash Flat.

Smith is serving his time in the Grimes Unit of the state prison system at Newport.
