Harmon’s seven 3s lead Arkansas State past ULM

Junior guard Christian Harmon drilled a career-high seven 3-pointers and scored 21 points to lead Arkansas State to a 103-70 victory over ULM on Wednesday night at First National Bank Arena.Arkansas State (16-10, 7-6 Sun Belt) topped the 100-point mark against the Warhawks for the first time in series history and reached the century mark in the matchup for the first time since 1955. The Red Wolves have now won back-to-back games by 30 or more points.

Harmon finished 7 of 12 from beyond the arc, becoming the first A-State player to hit seven 3s in a game since 2019. Chandler Jackson added 14 points and six assists, while Matt Hayman scored 13. Aly Tounkara had 12 points, Joey Chammaa added 10 and Chudi Dioramma pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds.

The Red Wolves shot 54.7% from the field (41 of 75) and 40.6% from 3-point range (13 of 32), while dominating in the paint 56-22. Arkansas State also held advantages in points off turnovers (17-6), second-chance points (22-10), fast-break points (17-6) and bench scoring (37-9).

After ULM (4-22, 1-12) trimmed the halftime deficit to 49-37, Arkansas State opened the second half on a 10-3 run and steadily built its lead. The margin grew past 30 points late in the game before the Red Wolves eclipsed 100 in the closing minutes.

Arkansas State returns to action Saturday, hosting South Alabama at 2 p.m. at First National Bank Arena.
