For 42 years, Joe faithfully worked as a truck driver for Land Star Trucking. He took great pride in his career, traveling countless miles while providing for his family. His dedication and strong work ethic were a testament to his character and commitment.
After retirement, Joe’s greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. Whether attending their activities, sharing stories, or simply enjoying time together, “Papa Joe” treasured every moment. His steady presence, warm smile, and gentle guidance will forever remain in their hearts.
Joe was a faithful member of the Mountain Home Church of Christ for 40 years. His deep faith in God guided his life and shaped the way he loved and served others. He lived out his faith through kindness, humility, and quiet service.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Paula Bailey (Baker); two sons, Reece Bailey (Brooke) and Drew Bailey (Jamie); four cherished grandchildren, Grace, Baker, Owen, and Mason; one sister, Nancy Rasmusson (David); and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be held at Mountain Home Cemetery on Tuesday, February 17, at 2:00 p.m., with Brother Joshua Adams officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Paragould Children’s Home, 5515 Walcott Road, Paragould, Arkansas.
Joe’s legacy is one of love, faith, and devotion. He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever cherished by all who had the blessing of knowing him.
