Scholarships are now available for eligible Arkansas students through the Arkansas Community Foundation. The scholarships support Arkansas students pursuing education at two or four-year colleges or universities, vocational schools, or technical training programs. Each scholarship has its own eligibility requirements. Some are designated for graduates of specific high schools or students planning to attend certain colleges, while others are based on extracurricular involvement or intended college majors.

The Foundation offers an online scholarship portal that includes a quiz to help applicants determine which scholarships they may be eligible to receive.

“For nearly 50 years, Arkansas Community Foundation has worked alongside generous individuals and organizations to help students pursue higher education,” said Jessica Ford, president and CEO of the foundation. “Our donors make these scholarships possible by shaping each opportunity, and we’re honored to steward the application and awarding process, connecting their generosity with students ready to take the next step.”

Statewide scholarships include opportunities for students pursuing careers in transportation, journalism, agriculture, nursing, healthcare administration, and the poultry industry, as well as scholarships recognizing community service, leadership, political involvement, and personal hardship.

Some scholarships support students attending specific institutions, including Harding University and Arkansas State University-Beebe, or those involved with organizations such as the Republican Party of Arkansas.

Deadlines vary by scholarship and are listed on the Foundation’s scholarship portal. Students seeking scholarships tied to a particular school, community, or interest area are encouraged to contact their local Community Foundation affiliate office or speak with a school counselor.
