The recall includes single-serve creamy peanut butter packets in 0.5-ounce and 0.75-ounce cups and 1.12-ounce packs, along with twin packs that combine creamy peanut butter with strawberry jam or grape jelly in 1.12-ounce and 1 ounce cups. Federal officials say the products were sold under private label brands including US Foods, DYMA Brands, Flavor Fresh, Sysco House Recipe, Katys Kitchen and Gordon Food Service, and were distributed to 40 states, including Arkansas and Missouri. Because the items are commonly used by schools, restaurants, healthcare facilities and other food service providers, the products may have reached institutions and homes across the region.
Consumers who have single serve peanut butter or peanut butter and jelly cups at home are encouraged to check labels and contact the retailer or distributor if they believe they may have affected products.
