Mountain Home theatre wins state One Act title at Thespian Festival

Mountain Home High School Bomber Theatre delivered a standout performance at the 2026 Arkansas State Thespian Festival, earning the festival’s highest honor as State Champion in One Act competition.

The troupe competed against 60 schools from across Arkansas, with a total of 755 individual entries judged statewide across 14 performance and technical categories.

Mountain Home students earned nine Superior ratings — the festival’s top individual adjudication — including several State Finalist honors. Those recognized included Kenlyee Brown, Aiden Burns, Symphony Fox, Piper Leigh Bone, Jade Taylor and Coralie Lawrence (Duet Musical Theatre), Emery Williams and Andrea McInnis (Duet Acting), Haylee Simmons and Izzy Koehler (Duet Musical Theatre Dance), Danielle Boelkens (Solo Acting), and Abigail Edens (Props Construction).

Five additional students earned Excellent ratings: Andrea McInnis (Short Film), Rebekah Lewis (Playwriting), Jack Tolleson (Solo Musical Theatre), Anastasia Svoboda (Solo Musical Theatre Dance), and Mina Luong (Solo Musical Theatre).

Mountain Home also secured multiple state-level honors during the festival’s State Showcase performances. Jade Taylor and Coralie Lawrence were named State Champions in Duet Musical Theatre, while Aiden Burns, Jack Tolleson, Danielle Boelkens, Rebekah Lewis, Sophia Davis and Kirstyn Barron captured the State Championship in Ensemble Acting.

The school also finished as State Runner-Up in Ensemble Dance, with performers Emery Williams, Coralie Lawrence, Andrea McInnis, Jade Taylor, Izzy Koehler and Haylee Simmons.

Additional individual honors included All-State Acting recognition for Coralie Lawrence and Haylee Simmons and All-State Technical Theatre honors for Sophia Davis.
