Friday night saw local teams battling it out for top spots in area basketball tournaments.
The finals for the 1A-2 Senior Tournament saw top seed Calico Rock fall to Concord 41-33 in the boys championship.
On the girls side Viola was no match for top seed West Side Greers Ferry in a final score of 63-47.
In the 1A-1 teams battled it out to take the final slots for Saturday’s finals. Top seed Lead Hill defeated Kingston 68-34. The pirates from Jasper also move onto the finals after defeating Deer 76-25. Lead Hill and Jasper face off for the finals Saturday night at 7:30 at Deer/ Mt Judea.
The Lady Tigers from Lead Hill fell to Kingston 43-37 Friday night. Jasper Lady Pirates defeated Omaha 81-27. The ladies from Lead Hill and Jasper face off Saturday at 6 for the 1A-1 championship.
