With the first week of early voting wrapped for the March 3rd Preferential Primary, Baxter County has had 1 in 20 registered voters cast their ballots so far.The clerk’s office reported that 149 votes were cast during Saturday’s early vote at First United Methodist Church in Mountain Home. The total for the county is 1899 which is 6 percent of the just over 30,000 registered voters.
Marion County reported 52 early votes Saturday bringing the week’s total to 515.
Fulton County saw 489 total votes cast during the first week of early voting.
Early voting continues Monday morning at 8 with some counties seeing expanded polling locations. Early voting in Baxter County will continue at First Methodist Church in Mountain Home.
