Arkansas State University-Mountain Home baseball returns to action this morning, taking on Connors State College at noon at Rogers High School looking to turn things around after a difficult stretch of early-season results.
The team has had a tough go of it lately, dropping nine of their last ten games. The lone bright spot came February 15th with an 11-6 win over Highland Community College in Branson. While the offense has shown it can produce runs, the pitching staff has struggled to keep opponents off the board, and close games have been hard to come by including a painful 7-6 loss in eight innings to Moberly Area Community College last Friday.
Today’s matchup with Connors State offers a fresh opportunity to pick up a much-needed win and build some confidence as the season continues to develop. First pitch is set for noon at Rogers High School.
