The Arkansas softball team extended its winning streak to 11 games Sunday, holding off Northwestern 9-8 at Bogle Park to close out a perfect 5-0 showing in the Razorback Invitational.

The Razorbacks burst out of the gate with six runs in the first two innings, but Northwestern rallied with a five-run third inning and later tied the game on a solo home run in the fourth. Atalyia Rijo answered with a three-run blast to right field in the bottom of the fifth to put Arkansas ahead for good. The Wildcats made it a one-run game again in the seventh on a two-run homer, but Robyn Herron slammed the door by striking out the final three batters to secure the win.

Rijo finished 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored. Ella McDowell also went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in the second inning, a walk, and two runs scored. Pinch-hitter Ramsey Walker came on in the third inning and went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored.

Herron improved to 6-0 on the season, striking out seven and allowing three runs on six hits in 4.1 innings of relief to earn the win. Arkansas moves to 13-1 on the year.
