Nearly 9,500 pounds of frozen meatballs sold nationwide at Aldi supermarkets are being recalled due to possible metal contamination.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced the recall affects 32-ounce packages of “Bremer Family Size Italian Style Meatballs” with a “Best By” date of Oct. 30, 2026.
According to the agency, the issue was discovered after officials received a consumer complaint reporting metal fragments found in the product. There have been no confirmed reports of injury related to consumption of the meatballs.
The product was manufactured by Rosina Food Products of West Seneca, New York.
Consumers are advised not to eat the recalled meatballs. The products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
