A Poinsett County man had a hard time convincing his daughter he had won big on a scratch-off ticket — but the $50,000 prize was no joke.

The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery announced that E. Holley of Poinsett County won $50,000 playing the $50,000 Stacked scratch-off game with a $20 ticket purchased at Jordan’s Kwik Stop #76 at 109 N. Illinois Ave. in Harrisburg.

Holley returned to his truck to play the ticket and discovered it held two $20,000 prizes and one $10,000 prize for a total of $50,000. His daughter was the first person he called, but she didn’t believe him until he reassured her the win was real.

Holley claimed his prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center on Feb. 20th. A weekly lottery player, Holley said the $50,000 Stacked game was one of the first he saw that day. His previous biggest win was $500. He says he plans to save his winnings.
