Local businesses have until Friday to sign up for this year’s Be Pro Be Proud’s “Draft Day” a career event held on the campus of Arkansas State University Mountain Home (ASUMH) that connects students with local businesses looking for employees.

Last year was the first for Mountain Home to participate in the state wide event and saw more than 700 high school seniors from 27 schools across the region participate. Over 30 businesses were in attendence and students had the chance to meet with the businesses, explore career opportunities, experience hands-on simulators, and interview with potential employers. Around 100 students were expected to receive job offers following last year’s program.

This year’s Draft Day will be held on April 2 and Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce CEO Dani Pugsley says that a few spots still remain for businesses that want to sign up.
