At the request of the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office, Special Agents with the Arkansas State Police (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) are investigating a bank robbery that occurred on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the First National Bank of Fort Smith branch in Lavaca. The robbery was reported around 2:45 p.m. at the Lavaca branch located on West Main Street.
No injuries have been reported, and no suspects have been taken into custody at this time.
