
In the 1A-1 Girls Regional, Lead Hill’s season came to a close with a 68-39 loss to Scranton.
In the 1A-2 Girls Regional, Norfork defeated Marked Tree 54-41 and will face top-seed West Side Friday at 4. Viola topped Maynard 45-33 and will play Earle Friday at 7.
In the 3A-2 Girls Regional, Mountain View rolled past Rivercrest 83-20 and will face Manila Friday at 7. Melbourne defeated Walnut Ridge and will take on Bergman Friday at 4.
On the boys side, in the 1A-2 Regional, Calico Rock’s season came to an end with an 83-37 loss to Crowley’s Ridge Academy.
In the 2A-2 Boys Regional, Izard County pulled off one of the night’s most dramatic finishes, as Kyler Brashear drilled a 30-foot three-pointer at the buzzer to lift the Cougars past Bay 37-36 and punch their ticket to the state tournament. Benaiah Spray led Izard County with 16 points and Brashear added 8, including the game-winner. The Cougars, now 16-13 on the season, will face 4-seed Tuckerman Friday at 8:30.
In the 3A-2 Boys Regional at Manila, Melbourne’s season ended with a 52-48 loss to Newport. Bergman knocked off Manila and will face top-seed Osceola Friday at 8:30.
In the 1A-1 Boys Regional, Jasper will take on County Line at 5:30 Friday and Lead Hill faces Scranton at 8:30 Friday.
