Officials in Harrison are responding to the possible closure of one of the region’s primary employers, expressing concern about the impact on local families and the broader community.
In a statement released by the city and the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce, leaders said they are aware of the potential closure involving Pace Industries and are working to gather additional details.
According to the statement, city officials are seeking more information about how the closure would be implemented, whether it would be temporary or permanent, and what the long term plans are for the manufacturing facility.

Mayor Jerry Jackson and Chamber representatives said they understand the uncertainty facing employees and their families. They emphasized that efforts are already underway to identify alternative employment options and provide assistance to displaced workers in the near future.
Officials also encouraged local businesses that are currently hiring to contact the city or the Chamber to help connect affected employees with available job opportunities.
City leaders say updates will be shared as more information becomes available.
