Mountain Home soccer sweeps Nettleton at home

Mountain Home’s soccer teams earned a sweep at home Thursday night against Nettleton, with both the boys and girls posting decisive victories.

The senior girls opened the evening with a 3-1 win. Senior Kendra Medley accounted for all three Lady Bomber goals, recording her first high school hat trick.

The Bombers followed with a dominant 7-0 shutout. Mountain Home led 2-0 at halftime before erupting for five second-half goals.

Dierks Beauregard paced the offense with two goals. Adrian Benito Gonzalez, Jacob Bzdel, Jake Brewer, Kollin Thompson and Brody Snyder each added one goal.

Assists were credited to Brewer, Joel Mead, Alfred Hasling, Gonzalez, Bzdel and Thompson.

Mountain Home’s defense preserved the shutout behind four saves from Zach Padgett and one from Jonas Balle.

Both teams will return to action Monday on the road at Huntsville.
