Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is scheduled to visit Camden Friday as part of his nationwide “Arsenal of Freedom” tour.
Hegseth will speak to approximately 1,500 employees at the General Dynamics and L3Harris solid rocket motor production facility and will administer the oath of enlistment to new military recruits.
The tour is aimed at boosting America’s Defense Industrial Base, promoting military technological innovation, accelerating production, and emphasizing national security.
L3Harris has operated in Camden since 1979 and produces more than 115,000 solid rocket motors annually at the site. The company is investing more than half a billion dollars across its major solid rocket motor facilities in Camden, Culpeper, Virginia, and Huntsville, Alabama.
