North Little Rock fire officials are raising alarm over a series of suspected intentionally set fires in the Rose City area, with more than 16 incidents reported since May 2025.
The North Little Rock Fire Department said in a Facebook post that multiple homes have been targeted more than once and that many of the fires share similar characteristics. Most occur in unoccupied structures, including homes being renovated, boarded-up properties, and vacant residences. Fires have frequently started outside near a wall or just inside a broken window or doorway, and police have confirmed that ignitable liquids were used in some cases.
“These fires needlessly place the community and our firefighters at risk,” fire officials said. “When a fire is intentionally set, those risks increase significantly.”
Officials also noted the broader community impact, saying intentionally set fires drive up insurance costs, hurt property values, discourage investment, and pull firefighters away from other emergencies.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the North Little Rock Fire Marshal’s Office at 501-340-5370.
