Store employee accused of stealing cash, vapes and lottery tickets during work shifts

From the KAIT Newsroom:WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. – A Hoxie woman faces felony charges after police said she stole cigarettes, cash and lottery tickets from the convenience store where she worked.

Kelly Rogers, 43, is being held in the Lawrence County Detention Center after a judge found probable cause to arrest her on suspicion of theft of property and lottery fraud, both Class D felonies.

Rogers, who worked at Flash Market #39, 213 NW 4th St. in Walnut Ridge, is accused of stealing vapes, cigarettes, candy, snacks and lottery tickets from the store.
Detective Eric Wolf of the Walnut Ridge Police Department said surveillance video supplied by the store manager showed Rogers taking money from the cash drawer on Feb. 5 and placing it in her wallet.

According to the court document, video recorded on Feb. 7 showed Rogers “taking multiple lottery tickets, cigarettes, candy, lighters, vapes, and other items throughout her whole shift.”

Wolf noted in the affidavit that Rogers was found guilty in 2022 of theft of property.
