No. 6 Arkansas (8-3) cruised to a 9-0 shutout over UT Arlington (3-7) Saturday afternoon at Baum-Walker Stadium, powered by a career-long seven scoreless innings from Hunter Dietz. The left-hander struck out eight while allowing just two hits and two walks, earning his first career quality start and helping Arkansas notch its third team shutout of the season. True freshman Mark Brissey closed out the game with two scoreless innings, striking out three in relief to complete the combined two-hitter.

Offensively, the Razorbacks plated nine runs on 12 hits, including two home runs. Nolan Souza and Damian Ruiz delivered RBI singles in the second inning to stake an early 2-0 lead, followed by Zack Stewart’s sacrifice fly and Maika Niu’s three-run homer in the third inning, putting the Hogs ahead 6-0. Camden Kozeal added a three-run blast in the eighth, his fifth homer of the season, pushing Arkansas’ lead to 9-0. Kozeal finished 2-for-5 with three RBI, while Ruiz, Reese Robinett, and Niu each had multi-hit games.

With the win, Arkansas evened the series with UT Arlington and continues its streak of 33 consecutive non-conference home weekend series victories. The Razorbacks will go for the series win in Sunday’s finale at 11 on SEC Network+.
