BAXTER COUNTY
Baxter County voters will decide a generational change in county leadership as a new sheriff will be elected for the first time in 22 years following Sheriff John Montgomery’s decision not to seek reelection.
Three candidates are seeking the position. Henry Campfield serves as a patrol sergeant with the Mountain Home Police Department following service with the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office and as Flippin police chief. Brian Davis currently serves as lieutenant and patrol division commander with the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office after beginning his law enforcement career in 1991. Mark Hollingsworth, chief deputy with the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, previously spent 36 years with the Arkansas State Police in statewide investigative and command roles.
Should the Sheriff’s race end with no one candidate receiving 50 percent plus one vote, a runoff will be held on March 31.
The county judge’s race also appears on the ballot, with incumbent County Judge Kevin Litty seeking a second term against Justice of the Peace Eric Payne. Judge Litty has pointed to infrastructure and facility improvements during his first term, while Payne has focused his campaign on rural road conditions and county infrastructure.
Five of Baxter County’s eleven Quorum Court districts will also be decided Tuesday:
District 2 features incumbent Republican Mike McDonald facing challenger Teia Peters.
District 3 incumbent Rick Steiner is challenged by Jay Sabella.
District 7 incumbent Bob Nault faces challenger Brian Ades.
District 9 incumbent Cameron Davis is opposed by James Baker.
District 11 will elect new representation as Tom Canta and Danny Woods seek the seat being vacated by Eric Payne.
MARION COUNTY
Marion County voters will weigh two sales tax proposals tied to construction and long-term maintenance of a proposed community center along Highway 14 in Yellville, the county’s most closely watched ballot issue.

FULTON COUNTY

Additional races include assessor, coroner, constable and Justice of the Peace positions, along with school board elections. Mammoth Spring voters will also consider a proposed land annexation along U.S. Highway 63 South.
BOONE COUNTY
Boone County voters will decide several key county leadership races Tuesday, including contests for county judge, sheriff and coroner, along with multiple Quorum Court positions.
Five candidates are seeking the office of Boone County judge: Christopher M. Davis, Tyler Gentry, Danny Hall, James Still and Bobby Woods.
The sheriff’s race features candidates Tim Roberson and Mark Foresee, while Aaron Gutting and Micheal Rocole are running for Boone County coroner.
Harrison voters will also consider two proposed city sales and use tax measures aimed at funding municipal infrastructure, public safety and utility improvements.

Democratic voters will choose between Hallie Shoffner and Ethan Dunbar for U.S. Senate, while incumbent Republican Sen. Tom Cotton faces challengers Micah Ashby and Jeb Little.
