Marion County Quorum Court to consider sheriff’s office sales tax ordinance Tuesday

The Marion County Quorum Court will hold its regular meeting Tuesday at 5:30.

Justices of the peace are scheduled to consider several items of new business, including an ordinance from the sheriff’s office regarding a proposed sales tax.

The court will also consider three ordinances from the county judge’s office dealing with a clean-up ordinance, budget controls and amendments to the county’s personnel policy.

Other agenda items include possible appointments, an ordinance from the planning board addressing subdivisions and announcements.

The meeting will also include a presentation from Linda Vincent with the Have a Heart Shelter.

The meeting is open to the public.
