Missouri senior Mark Mitchell was named to the All-SEC Second Team on Monday, recognizing one of the most versatile seasons in the conference.

Mitchell is averaging 17.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game and is on pace to become just the second player in Missouri history to lead the team in scoring, rebounds and assists in the same season.

He is also one of only five players nationally to record at least 550 points, 160 rebounds and 110 assists this season.

Mitchell currently ranks eighth in the SEC in scoring, third in field goal percentage at 54.7 percent and 10th in assists. His 113 assists are also among the most in the country for a player standing 6-foot-9 or taller.

The honor marks Mitchell’s second All-SEC selection after earning third-team recognition as a junior. He joins Kobe Brown as the only Missouri players to earn multiple All-SEC honors since the Tigers joined the SEC.

Over his four-year collegiate career, Mitchell has totaled 1,713 points, 670 rebounds and 255 assists. He also recently became the 49th player in program history to surpass 1,000 career points as a Tiger.

Missouri will open postseason play Thursday in the second round of the SEC Tournament, facing either Kentucky or LSU with tipoff scheduled for 11 a.m. on SEC Network.
