Missouri extended its winning streak to 13 games Tuesday afternoon with a 14-6 win over Southern Indiana at Taylor Stadium.

The Tigers improved to 15-2 on the season while snapping Southern Indiana’s four-game winning streak.

Missouri used a strong offensive performance to secure the win, highlighted by home runs from Kam Durnin and Chris Patterson. The Tigers also took advantage of aggressive base running and timely hitting to build an early lead.

Southern Indiana scored first with a sacrifice fly in the opening inning, but Missouri answered quickly with three runs in the bottom of the frame. Kaden Peer started the rally with a single and stolen base before Durnin drove him in with a double. Cameron Benson followed with an RBI single and Pierre Seals added another run with a double to give the Tigers a 3-1 lead.

Missouri extended the advantage with a solo home run from Durnin in the third inning and added five more runs in the fourth, including Patterson’s two-run homer.

Southern Indiana battled back with four runs in the fifth inning to cut the deficit, but Missouri responded with two more runs in the bottom half and continued to add insurance runs later in the game.

Durnin led the Tigers offensively, going 3-for-4 with a home run, double, three RBI and three runs scored. Seals added two hits and two RBI, while Benson recorded two hits and scored twice.

Eli Skidmore earned the win in relief, improving to 2-0 on the season.

Missouri will open SEC play this weekend when it hosts No. 6 Auburn for a three-game series beginning Friday night at Taylor Stadium.
