Volunteers still needed for Salem First Baptist Church “One Day” outreach

Salem First Baptist Church is still seeking volunteers for its upcoming “One Day” community outreach event scheduled for Saturday.

Church leaders say several ministry sites already have enough volunteers, including the Work Project, Kitchen Ministry, No Sale Yard Sale and Laundromat Ministry.

However, volunteers are still needed for several other outreach efforts, including the Yard Work Project, Children’s Block Party and Nursing Home Ministry.

Participants will gather at the church sanctuary at 9 for prayer before heading out to their assigned ministry locations.

Most ministry sites will operate from 10 until 2, while the Nursing Home Ministry will run from 10 until noon.

After the outreach concludes, volunteers will close and clean up their ministry sites at 2 before heading home.

Church officials encourage anyone interested in helping serve the community to participate in the event.
