Fifth-ranked Arkansas will open Southeastern Conference play this weekend with a top-five matchup against No. 3 Mississippi State at Baum-Walker Stadium.
The three-game series begins Friday at 6, with the game streaming on SEC Network+. Saturday’s contest is scheduled for 1 on SEC Network, and the series finale is set for 2 on Sunday, also on SEC Network.
Arkansas enters the weekend with a 12-5 overall record, while Mississippi State comes in at 15-2.
The Razorbacks have been one of the SEC’s most consistent programs over the past decade. Arkansas has won at least 18 conference games in eight consecutive seasons and reached the 20-win mark in SEC play in five of the last six seasons entering the 2026 campaign.
Friday’s pitching matchup is expected to feature Arkansas right-hander Gabe Gaeckle against Mississippi State’s Ryan McPherson. On Saturday, Arkansas left-hander Hunter Dietz is scheduled to start opposite Mississippi State’s Tomas Valincius. Sunday’s finale is projected to feature Arkansas left-hander Colin Fisher against Mississippi State’s Duke Stone.
The series marks the start of SEC competition for both teams and features two of the top-ranked programs in the country.
