A woman who has been arrested in Arkansas, Illinois, and Tennessee pled guilty to her local charges during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court/Criminal Division March 2 and was put on probation for five years.

Thirty-six-year-old Brianna Lee Reese-Ford was charged with going into the Mountain Home Walmart store multiple times between February 26 and August 12 last year and mainly using the “skip scanning” method to get away with merchandise without paying.

The skip scanning method of shoplifting involves not scanning all of the merchandise in the person’s cart or changing barcodes so that merchandise is read as being cheaper than it should be.

Her record shows Reese has a prior history of stealing from the Mountain Home Walmart dating back to 2012 and 2013. She was trespassed from the store in 2023 after a theft incident but despite being banned, she returned and committed thefts last year.

Reese was also arrested in Mountain Home in 2021 for possession of methamphetamine. She is also reported to have an active warrant out of the State of Texas for robbery.
