Yellville-Summit leads area performances at Junior Tyson Relays

Yellville-Summit turned in one of the top area performances Friday at the Junior Tyson Relays in Green Forest, with the Panthers finishing third in the boys team standings with 69 points and fifth in the girls standings with 55. Emry Devore led the Lady Panthers by winning the 300-meter hurdles in 54.41 seconds and also placing fourth in the 200 meters in 30.95. Bailey Wallace added another victory for Yellville-Summit in the girls 800 meters with a time of 3:04.42. On the boys side, Tatum Dodillet finished third in the 400 meters in 58.96 and added a fifth-place finish in the 800 meters at 2:36.26, while Morgan Gilley placed second in the discus with a throw of 116 feet, 10 inches.Flippin also turned in strong showings, finishing fourth in both team divisions with 67 points for the boys and 91 for the girls. Beckett Chatelain highlighted the Bobcats’ effort by finishing second in the boys 400 meters in 57.31 seconds and placing third in the discus with a throw of 87 feet, 1 inch. Khloe English added a runner-up finish in the girls 200 meters in 30.17 seconds, while Mallory Lindsey placed fourth in the girls 300-meter hurdles in 59.63.

Cotter scored eight points to finish 11th in the boys standings and placed 11th in the girls standings with three points. Roxie White recorded a top-10 finish for the Lady Warriors in the girls 400 meters with a time of 1:24.77, while Chet Crunkleton finished 14th in the boys 400 meters in 1:09.01.

Omaha placed seventh in the boys standings with 39 points and eighth in the girls standings with 27. Logan Householder led the Eagles with a sixth-place finish in the boys 400 meters in 53.67 seconds and also placed 10th in the long jump at 15 feet, 4 inches. Bentley Mallett added a 10th-place finish in the boys 800 meters in 2:49.23.

Alpena finished ninth in the boys standings with 19 points and seventh in the girls standings with 33. Brystl Toliver paced the Lady Leopards with a seventh-place finish in the high jump at 4 feet, 8 inches, while Gustin McGehee finished 17th in the boys 400 meters with a time of 1:09.68.

Harrison Junior High captured both team titles at the meet, scoring 231 points to win the boys division and 132 points to claim the girls championship. Among the Goblins’ top performances, Scotty Williams finished fourth in the boys 400 meters in 59.60 seconds, Reed Frank placed third in the boys 300-meter hurdles in 50.39, and Kami Edwards finished eighth in the girls 300-meter hurdles in 1:03.15.
