
Fourth-ranked Arkansas captured its third team title of the season Tuesday, firing a 3-under 285 in the final round to win the All-American Intercollegiate by 12 strokes at the Golf Club of Houston.The Razorbacks finished at 882 (+18), comfortably ahead of Eastern Michigan at 894 (+30), while placing four golfers inside the top 11.
Erich Fortlage led the charge with the low round of the day, a 5-under 67, climbing 11 spots to finish runner-up at 3-over for the tournament. John Daly II added a strong final round of 1-under to tie for fourth, marking his third top-five finish of the season.
Thomas Curry continued his consistent play with a tie for sixth, his third straight top-10 finish.
In the separate All-American Individual event on the Member’s Course, Razorback junior Niilo Maki-Petaja also finished runner-up, just one stroke off the lead at 2-over.
Arkansas has now finished in the top four in all seven events this season and secured its most tournament wins since the 2011-12 campaign.
The Razorbacks will return to action Monday and Tuesday at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational in Palm City, Florida.
