Details have been released about a January crash that killed a Fulton County woman. The Arkansas State Police report, released Sunday, says the accident claimed the life of 78-year-old Mary Bates of Mammoth Spring.According to the crash report, the accident happened when Bates’ vehicle left the roadway, struck a fence, went down an embankment and overturned multiple times.
Bates was taken to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield for treatment of her injuries.
According to her obituary, Bates died 18 days after the accident.
The crash happened Jan. 6 on U.S. Highway 62/412 near the intersection of Gum Springs Circle, west of Salem, at 1:54 in the afternoon.
