4-seed Arkansas set to face 13-seed Hawai’i in NCAA Tournament opener

The 4-seed Arkansas Razorbacks will open NCAA Tournament play Thursday afternoon against 13-seed Hawai’i in the West Regional at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.

Tipoff is scheduled for approximately 3:25, following the conclusion of the Wisconsin-High Point matchup. The game will be televised on TBS.

Arkansas enters the tournament with a 26-8 record and is making its 38th all-time NCAA Tournament appearance. The Razorbacks are coming off a strong postseason run, winning three games to capture the 2026 SEC Championship.

Historically, Arkansas has found success in opening-round games, posting a 20-8 record all-time.

Head coach John Calipari brings extensive NCAA Tournament experience, compiling a 59-23 overall record. He is 21-3 in first-round games and holds a 5-2 mark as a No. 4 seed, including a perfect 4-0 record against No. 13 seeds.

Hawai’i enters the matchup at 24-8 on the season and will look to pull off an early-round upset.

The winner of Thursday’s game will advance to face either 5-seed Wisconsin or 12-seed High Point on Saturday. Time and television details for the second-round game will be announced.
