A disturbance involving an intoxicated individual led to an arrest last Wednesday evening in Mountain Home.
According to a report from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Belle Air Circle after a caller reported a male subject harassing children.
62-year-old Ricky Dale Glover is facing charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
The caller told authorities a man had been walking up and down the roadway yelling at his grandchildren. He also reported the individual had fallen into a ditch and at one point appeared to fall asleep.
Deputies arrived at approximately 6:34 and located a male matching the description on Pioneer Trail.
During contact, Glover told deputies he had walked from the area near Lowe’s and had been drinking while listening to music. According to the report, the man denied bothering anyone and told officers they would “have to work for it” if they intended to take him into custody.
Authorities noted Glover showed signs of intoxication, including slurred speech, bloodshot eyes and difficulty maintaining balance.
Medical personnel were called to the scene, but Glover refused treatment, even after falling to the ground.
Glover was placed in hand restraints and initially refused to comply with commands to enter a patrol vehicle. Deputies then assisted him to his feet and into the vehicle before transporting him to the Baxter County Detention Center without further incident.
Glover is free after posting $1,095 bond.
