Corps say campgrounds, lakes and rivers in good shape for Spring Break

With Spring Break kicking off this weekend visitors from around the country and locally will take advantage of camping at campgrounds, getting boats out on the lakes and fishing the rivers.US Army Corps of Engineers Chief Ranger for Norfork and Bull Shoals Lakes Dylan Edwards says reservations were lower in the middle of the week, but with a clear forecast next week, he expects those numbers to rise to normal levels.

With temperatures hitting the 90 degree mark this weekend boat lovers will be getting out again for the first time. Ranger Edwards says the lakes are healthy and ready for the new season.

Despite recent regulation changes for trout fishing following a loss of population last fall Edwards says the park below Norfork Dam is as busy as ever.

Law enforcement will be active to assist visitors and patrol the parks, lakes and rivers during Spring Break. After last week’s cold snap visitors and locals will be busy checking out and enjoying all the Twin Lakes Area has to offer.
