Lady Bombers go 2-1 at Ozarks Softball Classic

The Mountain Home Lady Bombers posted a 2-1 record at the Ozarks Softball Classic at the Equity Bank Sports Complex in Harrison over the weekend.

Mountain Home opened the tournament on Friday with a 14-3 loss to Brookland. Maddie Simmons led the Lady Bombers at the plate, going 2-for-2 with two runs scored.

The Lady Bombers bounced back Saturday with a 2-0 win over Warsaw, Missouri. Laken Anderson went 2-for-3 with a run scored, while Simmons added a hit and a run. Chloe Bohannon drove in a run, and Kailyn Pope pitched a complete game with seven strikeouts.

Mountain Home capped the event with a 3-2 walk-off win over Tuckerman later that day. Simmons went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, and Daelyn Harper delivered the game-winning two-run double. Brooklynn Mitchell added a hit and a run scored, while Harper Bounds pitched a complete game with two strikeouts.

With the results, the Lady Bombers improve to 5-4 on the season.
