Authorities are searching for a man in connection with an early morning shooting that left one person dead and another injured.
According to the Independence County Sheriff’s Department, the shooting occurred around 3:20 a.m. March 23 on Brown Lane. Deputies responding to the scene found one individual deceased, while another had already been transported to a hospital by family members.
Investigators have identified Christopher L. Johnston as a person of interest in the case. He was last seen in the 1600 block of Bethesda Road.
Authorities are advising residents in the area to remain alert, secure their homes, and report any suspicious activity.
