Arkansas State powered past Radford with a dominant 31-point win Monday night at First National Bank Arena to advance in the WNIT.
The Red Wolves (25-9, 13-4 SBC) controlled the game from the start, forcing 23 turnovers and converting them into 22 points while outrebounding the Highlanders 43-37.
Wynter Rogers led the way with a double-double, finishing with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Zyion Shannon added 17 points, including 15 in the second half, and Mia Tarver chipped in 10.
Arkansas State jumped out to an early lead behind a strong first quarter from Rogers and built a 42-22 advantage by halftime, fueled by balanced scoring and solid defense that held Radford to 26 percent shooting in the first half.
Radford trimmed the deficit in the third quarter, but the Red Wolves responded with a late run to regain control and then shut things down defensively in the fourth, holding the Highlanders scoreless over the final four minutes.
Arkansas State advances to the third round of the WNIT and will face the winner of Purdue Fort Wayne and South Alabama.
