Flippin School Board names new principals, approves personnel changes

The Flippin School Board has approved new leadership for its schools as part of several personnel moves during its meeting Monday night.

Board members approved Troy Hullett as elementary principal and Monica Springfield as high school principal for the 2026-27 school year.

The board also accepted the resignation of current elementary principal Tracy Latrell, effective at the end of the 2025-26 school year. Latrell was later approved to serve as an instructional facilitator for the 2026-27 school year.

In other personnel actions, the board accepted the resignation of bus driver Mike Martin, effective Monday, and approved the retirement of elementary teacher Paula Edmondson at the end of the school year.

Board members voted to eliminate the curriculum director position at the end of the 2025-26 school year and approved the creation of a one-year instructional facilitator position for the 2026-27 school year.

The board also approved the hiring of Alyssa Sutterfield as a middle school special education paraprofessional and Tim Holt as a bus driver.

In addition, the board approved administrative contracts and the 2026-27 school calendar.

The meeting adjourned at 6:41.
