
No. 7 Arkansas closed strong with a final-round 15-under 269 to finish fourth at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational.
The Razorbacks tied a school record with a 54-hole total of 819 (-33) against one of the toughest fields in college golf.
Gerardo Gomez led Arkansas with a career-best 7-under 64 in the final round, climbing to a third-place finish at 13-under overall. His round tied for one of the best 18-hole scores in program history and marked his third top-five finish this season.
Erich Fortlage added a 68 in the final round to tie for 13th at 9-under. Niilo Maki-Petaja and Thomas Curry both finished tied for 34th at 3-under, while John Daly II tied for 55th.
Texas Tech won the team title at 45-under, followed by Auburn and Texas, with Arkansas finishing just one shot behind Texas for third.
The Razorbacks will wrap up the regular season at the Mountaineer Invitational April 13-14 before competing in the SEC Championships later in the month.
