During the session, justices of the peace will consider a resolution to formally declare a vacancy following the resignation of County Judge Robert Hathaway. The court is also expected to consider appointing an individual to serve the remainder of the unexpired term, which runs through Dec. 31, 2026.

Those interested in being considered for the appointment are asked to submit a resume and/or letter of qualifications and interest to the Boone County Judge’s Office at 100 N. Main Street, Suite 300, Harrison, AR 72601. Submissions must be received by 4:30 p.m. April 1.
