
Missouri dropped its second midweek game of the week, falling to Lindenwood 10-4 Wednesday evening at the Lou Brock Sports Complex.
The Tigers (17-9) struck first, taking a 2-0 lead in the opening inning on a two-run single by Cameron Benson. Lindenwood responded with two runs in the second and took the lead for good in the third.
The Lions added to their advantage with a four-run seventh inning to stretch the lead to 9-2.
Missouri made a push in the eighth, scoring two runs to cut the deficit to 9-4, but Lindenwood answered with a run of its own and closed out the game.
Benson led the Tigers at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI. Freshman Luke Sullivan started on the mound, while Isaiah Salas provided scoreless relief.
Missouri returns home to open SEC play against Texas A&M this weekend.
