Bombers cruise past Forsyth in Ozarks Baseball Classic

The Mountain Home Bombers took control early and rolled to a 12-1 win over Forsyth on Friday in the Ozarks Baseball Classic in Harrison.

The Bombers jumped out to a big first-inning lead as Drew Haney drove in two runs with a single, Jax Wescoat added a two-run double and Jackson Corp followed with an RBI single.

Mountain Home added another run in the second before breaking the game open in the third. Rowan Askew highlighted the inning with a two-run triple, while an error and a bases-loaded walk pushed the lead further.

Brody Brown earned the win on the mound, allowing one hit and no runs over two innings while striking out three. Jackson Free also saw time in relief.

The Bombers finished with nine hits in the game. Wescoat and Askew each had two hits, while Wescoat, Askew and Haney drove in two runs apiece. Mountain Home also stole four bases and did not commit an error.

Mountain Home will be back in action Saturday as the Ozarks Baseball Classic continues in Harrison.
