Registration is now open for the 2026 Gainesville youth baseball and softball summer leagues.
The league is open to players ages 4 through 12. Participants must turn 4 years old before May 1, 2026, and those turning 13 before that date are not eligible to play.
Divisions include T-ball (ages 4-5), 8U, 10U and 12U for both baseball and softball. Officials note there must be enough players registered in each division to field teams.
The registration deadline is April 9. The cost is $35 per player, with checks payable to the Gainesville R-5 School District.
Forms can be returned to the school or mailed to Gainesville School, Summer Softball/Baseball League, 422 Bulldog Drive, Gainesville, Missouri, 65655.
Players will be placed on teams by April 27, and games are scheduled to begin May 26 and run through June 26.
Coaches are also needed. Those interested must complete a background check through the Gainesville School District.
