No. 4 Arkansas suffered its first SEC series loss of the 2026 season after falling 7-4 to Florida on Saturday afternoon at Baum-Walker Stadium.
The Razorbacks held an early 3-2 lead through four innings, getting on the board with an RBI single from Reese Robinett before adding runs on a wild pitch and a sacrifice fly by Ryder Helfrick in the third.
However, control issues on the mound proved costly once again. Arkansas pitching issued eight total walks, allowing Florida to take advantage with a three-run fifth inning that flipped the game. The Gators added to their lead against the bullpen and maintained control the rest of the way.
Starter Hunter Dietz went four innings, allowing three runs while striking out four but walking four. The bullpen surrendered four additional runs as Florida pulled away.
Offensively, Arkansas managed hits from six different players but couldn’t generate enough late momentum to close the gap.
With the loss, the Razorbacks fall to 19-9 overall and 4-4 in SEC play. Arkansas will try to avoid a sweep in Sunday’s series finale.
