MH Farmers Market set to open Saturday for 2026 season

The Mountain Home Farmers Market is set to return for the 2026 season, with opening day scheduled this Saturday.

The market will be held at the corner of Fifth Street and Shiras Avenue in downtown Mountain Home and will run every Wednesday and Saturday from 7 to noon through the end of November.

Jeff Quick, president and CEO of the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas, said the market is once again being coordinated in partnership with the City of Mountain Home, and details what patrons can expect when they visit the Farmers Market.

Quick said the market will again partner with the Department of Human Services to offer the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program. Eligible residents age 60 and older who meet income guidelines can receive a $50 coupon book to spend on fresh produce from participating vendors.

Vendors are still being accepted for the upcoming season. Booth space is available for $10 per day or $100 for the full season. Those interested can apply at the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas or call 870-499-7565 for more information.
