Mountain Home man, Gainesville woman injured in Monday morning accident

Two area residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident Monday morning in Ozark County. The 42-year-old man from Mountain Home and 54-year-old Gainesville woman both received moderate injuries according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP). Both drivers were transported by ambulance to Baxter Health in Mountain Home for treatment of their injuries.The Patrol does not release the names of those involved in motor vehicle or boating accidents.

According the MSHP report, the crash happened when a Mack truck driven by the Mountain Home man ran off the right side of the highway, he overcorrected, the truck then struck the Gainesville woman’s vehicle and overturned.

The accident happened on Missouri State Highway J, south of Highway T at 7:45 Monday morning.
