
The Mountain Home Bombers used production from the bottom of the lineup to secure a 4-2 win over Alma Thursday.
Jax Wescoat, Jackson Corp and Connor Gentry combined for four of the team’s seven hits, while also driving in three runs.
Mountain Home opened the scoring in the second inning when Corp doubled to bring in a run. Alma answered in the fourth on an RBI single from Izaac Plourde to tie the game at 1-1.
The Bombers responded in the bottom half of the inning, scoring three runs to take control. Corp and Gentry each delivered RBI doubles during the rally.
Koen Bickford earned the complete-game win on the mound, allowing two runs on six hits over seven innings. He struck out one and walked five.
Corp, hitting out of the eight spot, led the Bombers with two RBIs while going 2-for-3 at the plate. Drew Haney also added two hits in the win.
Alma was led by Brycen Lester, who collected two hits. The Airedales did not commit an error in the game.
With the win, Mountain Home improves to 10-3 on the season and moves into the top spot in the 5A West.
