Mountain Home Public Schools has announced that seniors Jack Coleman and Caiden Kaspar have been named National Merit Finalists, a prestigious honor recognizing academic excellence.

The National Merit Scholarship Program identifies top students nationwide based on performance on the PSAT/NMSQT, along with academic achievement, leadership and involvement in school and community activities. Advancing to Finalist status places students among the nation’s top high school scholars.

Mountain Home High School Principal Mary Beth Russell praised the accomplishment.

“We are incredibly proud of Jack and Caiden for this remarkable achievement,” Russell said. “Their dedication to academic excellence and commitment to their education truly set them apart, and they represent the very best of our district.”

As National Merit Finalists, Coleman and Kaspar are now eligible to compete for National Merit Scholarships, which will be awarded later this spring.

Mountain Home Public Schools officials say they look forward to the students’ continued success in their academic careers.
