A Boone County man has been sentenced to five years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections in a plea deal with the state on a felony charge of sexual indecency with a child. Forty-four-year-old Shawn Tremier Anderson of Harrison is also ordered to pay $2,240 in fines, fees and court costs.According to court records, the incident was first reported in December of 2023. The then 15-year-old female victim was interviewed in April of 2024 and told law enforcement Anderson had been dating her mother and she had known him for about five years, saying he was like a father figure to her.
She says they had sex at her house in Jasper and his house in Harrison. She said the sex was consensual.
