The Donald W. Reynolds Library serving Baxter County is inviting the community to celebrate Mother’s Day while supporting the Library Hill Trail.

Commemorative pinwheels are available for purchase through May 5 at the library’s circulation desk. Each pinwheel honors a mother, grandmother, aunt or other special woman and includes a personalized reusable tag. Medium pinwheels are $10, and large pinwheels are $25.

The library will host a Mother’s Day Pinwheel Trail and Picnic on Saturday, May 9, from 11 to 1 on the library lawn. The event will include a walk along the Pinwheel Trail, opportunities to pick up purchased pinwheels, and a bring-your-own picnic. A complimentary dessert will be provided by the Library Foundation.

Funds raised will support enhancements and long-term maintenance of the Library Hill Trail, which will offer a space for walking, reading and enjoying nature.

Pinwheels can be purchased at the Baxter County Library located at 300 Library Hill lane off of College Street.
